● — how this works

A library for the ninety seconds before class

TV on a Rolling Cart is a free, searchable catalog of classroom-ready video for PreK through 6th grade. It is run by one former elementary teacher, there is no account to make, and there is no paid tier.

Everything is filtered the way you actually plan

Pick the grade you teach, the subject you are covering, how many minutes you have before the bell, and whether you need something free. The catalog narrows as you go. If you tell us your state, national standards get badged with your own state's codes, so you can see the match without translating it yourself.

Every title arrives ready to show

Each one carries a plain summary of what is actually in the video, a viewer-safety note written the way a colleague would say it, the standards it lines up with, a few discussion questions, and a quick work-a-long where one genuinely helps. We do not write the lessons. You already know your class.

Vetted before it goes in, and fixed when it breaks

Titles are vetted for whether they are genuinely made for children, whether they hold up, and whether the link still works. Shows leave streaming services constantly, so when one stops being watchable we retire its page instead of leaving a dead link in front of a class. If you find one we missed, tell us and it gets fixed.

New here? The questions page covers how the vetting works and what it costs. You can also browse every series A to Z, or read why this exists.
