Summary
Francine, one of the Pranksters, decides to turn over a new leaf and become a genuinely kinder person — but old habits and peer pressure keep pulling her back. The episode shows students how characters can change over the course of a story and what forces drive or resist that change, making it a strong anchor for character analysis and RL.2.3/RL.3.3.

- What made Francine want to change? What kept pulling her back toward her old ways?
- Do you think her change was real by the end of the episode? What evidence from the story makes you say that?
- Think of a book character who changes during the story. What caused the change? Was it one big event or many small ones?
