Lunch Doodles with Mo Willems

16 episodes

When the Kennedy Center closed in March 2020, its first Education Artist-in-Residence opened his studio instead and posted a doodle session every weekday. Each roughly twenty-minute episode is a draw-along: the Pigeon, Gerald the Elephant, Piggie assembled from a letter J and a number 3, Knuffle Bunny, Leonardo the terrible monster. Others pivot to making, with paper finger puppets, a flipbook, and an invented game called Super Bounce that runs across the whole series. Willems keeps insisting your version should not look like his. Fifteen episodes plus a graduation and a one-year reunion; good for an illustrating block or indoor recess.
