Two Mobile Unit cases. In "The Sandwich Project," the villain Shelly Catessan zaps members of the squad into sandwiches, and the team has to retrace the exact order of events to turn everyone back. In "Wax On Wax Odd," another wave of oddness keeps the agents thinking on their feet.

Discussion

Getting the order of steps right matters — in a recipe, a routine, or undoing a villain's trick.

  1. Why did the agents need to remember the exact order of what happened?
  2. What goes wrong if you do steps out of order?
  3. Think of something you do in a set order every day. What happens if you skip a step?
  4. How did the team work together to retrace their steps?

Quick work-a-long

Vocabulary: order, sequence, first, next, last.

Try it: Write the four steps of making a sandwich in the correct order. Then mix them up and have a partner put them back in order.
