Discussion questions

Discussion

This case is all about cause and effect — how one change ripples out and changes everything after it.

  1. What was the one small thing the agents changed in the past? Why did it matter so much?
  2. What does it mean that they "undid every case ever solved"? How is that connected to the change they made?
  3. To fix things, the agents had to put events back in the right order. Why is order so important?
  4. Tell about a time one small change led to a bunch of other changes — like a domino effect.

Quick work-a-long

Vocabulary: past, present, cause, effect, sequence, order.

Try it: Write down three things you did this morning in the order you did them. Then imagine changing the very first one — what would have to change after it? Draw a quick "if this, then that" chain.
