Summary

Apple juice or milk? White rice or brown? Our days are filled with decisions about what foods to put in our bodies. These choices matter—we really are what we eat! Food provides our bodies with nutrients: the materials we need to live and grow. Fruits and vegetables give us vitamins, minerals, and loads of fiber. Protein helps us build muscle. Carbohydrates and fats charge us up with energy. All of these food groups are part of a healthy diet, but there are healthy and less-healthy options in all of them. Generally, the less processed a food is, the healthier it is. Press "play" to find out why!
