Summary
Let's make a deal! A New Deal, that is. The New Deal was President Franklin Roosevelt's plan to help struggling Americans during the Great Depression. It was actually a collection of social and economic programs. Some of them, like unemployment insurance and Social Security, are still around today! To put the programs into effect, the government created a whole bunch of agencies, from the FDIC and the SEC to the SSA and the WPA.
