Discussion questions

Puppet talk

  1. How do the rods let you make your puppet move?
  2. What is your puppet's name, and how does it feel today?
  3. What voice will you use to make your puppet talk?

Book link: George is the giant tortoise from Jean Craighead George's *Galapagos George*. Read (or reread) the story together, then use your puppet to retell your favorite part.

Quick work-a-long

Try it: Hold your puppet up and make it wave, nod, and take a bow. Give it one line to say to the class.
