Summary
Having friends feels good and is good for us! Friends come in lots of different forms, but in any friendship, communication is key. It’s best to be open about your needs and boundaries, and to talk through conflicts. When you share how you feel, use “I” statements to center yourself rather than placing blame. When your friend shares, try to stay open to what they’re saying. And if you mess up, apologize! Your friendships will likely change over time, and it can be tough when a friend drifts away. You may need to distance yourself from someone who’s overstepping your boundaries or pressuring you to do risky stuff. Friend drama can feel overwhelming, so seek out support from a trusted adult if you need it. Or ask for help from a fellow friend, like Tim and Moby!
