Summary

Though he only lived 32 years, Bruce Lee was one of the most iconic figures of the 20th century. Lee was a martial artist, actor, writer, teacher, and filmmaker. Follow Lee from his childhood in Hong Kong where he was a child actor, boxing champ, and cha-cha dancer through his sojourn to America, where he taught and created his own form of martial arts, Jeet Kune Do. Lee first appeared on American television as Kato in The Green Hornet, using real kung fu moves. This made him a superstar across Asia, and he returned to Hong Kong to write, direct and produce films that he starred in. Hollywood came calling, with Lee producing the first Asian film co-produced by a major studio. Lee’s body of work went against stereotypes, and his influence can be seen in countless action films, video games, and even hip-hop today.
