Mr. Rob teaches a whole class to sing and play using color-coded notes and solfege hand signs. Roughly half the collection is sing-alongs: Hot Cross Buns on just mi, re, and do; the C-major scale by color, number, letter, and syllable; rounds, holiday carols, and 'El Tambor de la Alegria' from Panama. The rest are tutorials for playing a tune on bells, boomwhackers, or piano, from Franklin's Tower to the Indiana Jones theme. Most run one to five minutes. A music specialist can build a warm-up out of these, and a classroom teacher without one can run a whole music block.
