Short field videos from the PBS Kids environmental-science project, in which an alien named Plum sends children outside on missions. Ranger Jesse walks a city group through one tree from canopy to roots; Clementine climbs a mountain and finds three different habitats stacked on it; Zuzu and friends play biodiversity bingo in an ordinary backyard. Some are hands-on, like building a watershed on a kitchen counter out of trays and food coloring. Others are games that quietly become ecology, such as playing catch-me-if-you-can somewhere full of hiding places. One to four minutes each, so several fit inside one science block.
