No, but sailors long ago probably spotted manatees and let imagination finish the job. Can animals get sunburned? Yes, though fur, feathers, and mud work as sunscreen. Can a mountain become a volcano, can animals laugh, do animals really predict the weather. The answer is often no, which is half the value. Kids watch how you find out rather than collecting a fact. Made to open a science block or start an argument the class can settle later.
