Mashup Math
18 episodes
Mashup Math is a free YouTube channel of short, colorful lessons that walk grades 3 through 6 students through one math skill at a time. Narrator Anthony Persico builds each idea from a picture before the rule: fraction bars, area-model boxes, unit cubes, and number lines make the reasoning visible. This vetted collection gathers the upper-elementary slice, including equivalent fractions, fraction arithmetic, decimals, multi-digit multiplication, the distributive property, order of operations, area and volume, using a protractor, line symmetry, bar graphs, line plots, and ratios. Each clip runs from two to twelve minutes, so a teacher can drop one into a math block, pause to work an example, and match it to a specific standard.
