22 episodes
Khan Academy is the free nonprofit learning resource teachers already trust, and these are its short elementary-math lessons. Sal Khan works one skill at a time on a digital whiteboard: naming and sorting shapes, splitting wholes into equal parts, building and comparing fractions on a number line, reading scaled bar graphs and line plots, classifying triangles and angles, drawing with a protractor, and converting customary units. Each clip runs a few minutes and lands on a single grade 2 through 4 standard, so you can drop one in to introduce a concept, reteach a small group, or send it home. Every video is vetted for classroom use.

- 3.NF.A.3Explain equivalence of fractions in special cases, and compare fractions by reasoning about their size.
- 2.G.A.1Recognize and draw shapes having specified attributes, such as a given number of angles or a given number of equal faces; identify triangles, quadrilaterals, pentagons, hexagons, and cubes.
- 3.NF.A.1Understand a fraction 1/b as the quantity formed by 1 part when a whole is partitioned into b equal parts; understand a fraction a/b as the quantity formed by a parts of size 1/b.
- 4.G.A.1Draw points, lines, line segments, rays, angles (right, acute, obtuse), and perpendicular and parallel lines; identify these in two-dimensional figures.
- 4.G.A.2Classify two-dimensional figures based on the presence or absence of parallel or perpendicular lines, or the presence or absence of angles of a specified size; recognize right triangles.
- 2.G.A.3Partition circles and rectangles into two, three, or four equal shares; describe the shares using the words halves, thirds, half of, a third of, etc.

- 2.MD.C.8Solve word problems involving dollar bills, quarters, dimes, nickels, and pennies, using $ and ¢ symbols appropriately.
- 3.G.A.2Partition shapes into parts with equal areas; express the area of each part as a unit fraction of the whole.
- 3.MD.B.3Draw a scaled picture graph and a scaled bar graph to represent a data set with several categories; solve one- and two-step "how many more" and "how many less" problems.
- 3.NF.A.2Understand a fraction as a number on the number line; represent fractions on a number line diagram.
- 3.OA.D.9Identify arithmetic patterns (including patterns in the addition table or multiplication table), and explain them using properties of operations.
- 4.MD.A.1Know relative sizes of measurement units within one system of units; express measurements in a larger unit in terms of a smaller unit.
- 4.MD.A.3Apply the area and perimeter formulas for rectangles in real-world and mathematical problems.
- 4.MD.B.4Make a line plot to display a data set of measurements in fractions of a unit (1/2, 1/4, 1/8); solve problems involving addition and subtraction of fractions using the data.
- 4.MD.C.6Measure angles in whole-number degrees using a protractor; sketch angles of specified measure.
