A six-part series in which two hosts set out to stage their own play at home and, having no idea where to start, visit a different Sydney Opera House expert in each episode. A scriptwriter shows how a story becomes a script; an actor and director build a character with body and voice; a designer reads a character from costumes and props; a lighting designer and sound designers turn light, music, and foley into atmosphere; and a producer pulls it all together and remembers the audience. Together the episodes lay out every job behind a play in plain, kid-facing terms. A friendly walk through the crafts of theatre for upper-primary classes.
