Celebrate the Beat
21 episodes
Celebrate the Beat is the Colorado associate of the National Dance Institute, and its free videos bring that dance-and-movement teaching into any classroom. Teaching artists lead follow-along sessions the whole class can join: brain breaks that explore dance elements like symmetrical and asymmetrical shapes or moving in opposites, full choreography tutorials taught move by move, and cross-curricular dances that carry the nervous system, the alphabet, or the art of Frida Kahlo into the body. A yoga-and-mindfulness strand adds calming breaks, breathing resets, and gratitude practice. Runtimes span quick three-minute resets to twenty-minute sessions, most aimed at grades K through 5. Reach for it when you want the room up and moving with real dance behind the energy.
