Short animated "… Explained" lessons that take one everyday idea and walk a class through it plainly, in a friendly voice that talks straight to the kids. This civics and citizenship set is the opening stretch: what a community really is and how to spot and meet a real need in it, how rights and responsibilities balance each other, why we have government and what its local, state and federal levels each do, how we choose local leaders and vote wisely, and the long road an idea travels to become a law. Each runs about five or six minutes with clear examples, quick on-screen checks, and a question or two left for the room.
