The format is a countdown of eight: the strangest animals on the planet, standout snakes from record-breakers to expert hunters, and the wildlife of the Galapagos, where giant tortoises and marine iguanas live almost nowhere else. Fast pacing and a lot of species in a short window, which makes them better as a spark than as a source. Pause on one animal, ask why that body works where it lives, and send students to look the rest up. Only three episodes are in the catalog.
